PROOF THAT ISLAM AND JIHAD DO NOT PROMOTE TERRORISM

Over the past 20 years the words terrorist and terrorism have become widely used and polarized all over the world. During the late 1960’s and into early 1980’s one of the groups of peoples most associated with the word terrorism was the IRA which is an acronym for the Irish Republican Army. Since the early ‘80’s the term has shifted and has become more widely associated with Muslims and the religion of Islam. Almost everywhere you turn in the media there is some story concerning a terrorist who is allegedly associated with Islam. Since the September 11th 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center, the word has been even more amplified. Many media sources claim that these so-called terrorists act in conjunction with a believed to be religious order of authority called Jihad. Jihad literally means “struggle”- or fight. Organizations such as Al-Qaeda whose origin is alleged to be the CIA-Central Intelligence Agency of the United States of America seem to garner much focused attention. Claiming that it is a Muslim organization, Al-Qaeda is reported by the media as a Jihadist type militant group whose intentions are to wage a holy war against infidels who are enemies to Islam. It's members wear masks to conceal their identies.

This behavior is inconsistent with the way Muslims fought in Jihad as history has recorded of the life of Prophet Muhammad who himself fought against those who waged war against him and the believers. Muslims don't conceal thier identies. Fighting in Gods cause is an honor and a serious matter. A true Muslim would want the entire creation to know he/she is a soldier of God's army fighting in His cause. Beware: many Jews pretend to be Muslims and kill in their effort to ensure a Zionist stronghold over the world. As this so-called terrorist organization is polarized and promoted throughout the media, many tend to believe that the things reported about them are factual truths. Now, in these current times, many Americans and peoples all over the world usually associate the words terrorism and terrorists with the religion of Islam. If you ask a person on the streets of America to describe a terrorist, they will most likely describe some Arab looking person and associate the person with the religion of Islam. Media sources such as CNN, CBS, FOX NEWS, MSNBC, ABC, REUTERS, BBC, CTN and countless others follow the activities of such alleged terror organizations and openly promote the false idea that Jihad is something to be associated with terrorism. These simply are not the true facts about Jihad and Islam. Does Islam promote terrorism or terrorists? It does not and here is the proof directly in the Holy Book of Islam called the Quran.

Surah 2:190-194 says: “You may fight in the cause of God against those who ATTACK YOU, but DO NOT AGGRESS. GOD DOES NOT LOVE THE AGGRESSORS. YOU MAY KILL THOSE WHO WAGE WAR AGAINST YOU, and you may evict them whence they evicted you. OPPRESSION IS WORSE THAN MURDER. Do not fight them at the sacred Masjid, UNLESS THEY ATTACK YOU THEREIN. IF THEY ATTACK YOU, YOU MAY KILL THEM. This is the just retribution for those disbelievers. If they refrain, then God is Forgiver, Most Merciful. You may also fight them to eliminate oppression and to worship God freely. If they refrain, you shall not aggress; AGGRESSION IS PERMITTED ONLY AGAINST THE AGGRESSORS. During the sacred Months, aggression may be met by an equitable response. If they attack you, you may retaliate by inflicting an equitable retribution. You shall observe God and know that God is with the righteous."

No person with a sane and rational mind can read this verse and believe that the Quran teaches Muslims to be terrorists and fight in Jihad using such tactics as reported in the media. If a so-called Muslim claims to fight in Jihad and uses terrorism, then he/she is not truly a submitter to the will of God which is what Muslim means. These sacred religious instructions clearly orders Muslims to fight with ONLY THOSE WHO ATTACK OR WAGE WAR IN AGGRESSION AGAINST YOU. There are many ways to Jihad-struggle-fight in God’s cause. You can fight-Jihad-struggle against oppression through court systems, political arenas, schools, houses of worship etc.. To singularly believe that Jihad only means that Jihad only means to fight human beings with weapons is a gross deviation away from the true essence of the meaning of Jihad. Something else to consider is the fact that Islam forbids SUICIDE. When so-called Muslim terrorists strap bombs to themselves and bomb someone or something, this act of evil and cowardice cannot be associated with Islam or Jihad. Quran clearly forbids SUICIDE. These are not to be considered as believing Muslims if such occurences were actually true.

True Muslims do not kill themselves because they have a fear of being denied the hereafter. Quran clearly warns that those who kill themselves will have no share of the hereafter. Since this is so, it is foolish to continue to listen to the media who claim that these so-called terrorists are willing to die for Allah by wearing bombs and blowing up buildings with these bombs. A Muslim cannot be an extremist and follow something forbidden in Islam and still call it Islam. To believe that Muslims would fly airplanes into the World Trade Center and kill themselves for Allah is simply folly. God does not accept their sacrifice of themselves and has condemned such behavior to HELL. Simply put, no Muslim is going to follow an extreme idea that he is to kill himself deliberately in the name of Allah. Seek the truth about Islam to empower your own intelligence. Don’t believe everything the media tells you about Islam. Remember the old saying: “A MIND IS A TERRIBLE THING TO WASTE. ..It’s time we all learn the truth about Islam. Go to your local Masjid and purchase yourself a Quran and learn the religion before you allow your heart to condemn it.
